Hiking and Biking Trails

Awassa Nature Reserve and Hiking Trail - From downtown St. Germain, go west on Hightway 70 about half a mile. Park at the back of the elementary school parking area and you will see the trailheads.

The Heart of Vilas Bike and Hike Trail - Access across Highway 70 from Cedaroma and 100 yards East. Head into the woods and you can ride for dozens of interconnected miles. has trail maps covering the whole county and some of Oneida too. The app: Map It Vilas County can be found in Itunes and Google Play. I still have a few of the paper maps if you prefer, just ask. I have become an avid hiker and can make recommendations for you based on distance, difficulty, and style of trail you like... Just ask! 715-479-1040
